This is a US MRE (Meal Ready to Eat), which is a plastic waterproof tanned packet chock full of rationy goodness.
Each meal comes complete with a water activated cooker (no matches required!), main meal, a desert, crackers & spread, spoon, condiments pack (with some Tobasco Sauce) and usually a sweet of some sort.
The contents do vary the meal so the photograph shown is only to give you an idea of what comes with each meal.
These are very handy sized meals and will last upto 5 years under the right conditions. These meals are from a case which was packed early this year (2004).
These are pretty good meals at a great price considering the freshness and the rarity. |
